Short description Morfologi

23 cm wide, exumbrella with numerous ribs radiating from apex towards margin; eight (2 times 4) pointed velar lappets in each octant; arm-disk with short filaments; mouth arms a slong as disk radius, widely separated from each other, with few ahort filaments; rhopalae radial canals broad, inter-rhopalar narrower, two centripetal canals between adjacent radial canals.

Members of the class Scyphozoa are gonochoric. Life cycle: Egg is laid by the adult medusa which later develops into a free-living planula, then to a scyphistoma to a strobila, and lastly to a free-living young medusa.
