Used as food in certain areas of Southeast Asia (Ref. 349). Found in mangrove areas (Ref. 128042) and are abundant in intertidal mud flats (Refs. 349, 128042). Often partly buried in mud, with only top of spire projecting (Ref. 349). Detritus feeder (Ref. 751).

Members of the order Neotaenioglossa are mostly gonochoric and broadcast spawners. Life cycle: Embryos develop into planktonic trocophore larvae and later into juvenile veligers before becoming fully grown adults.
