Do not swim, instead it hangs suspended from the air-water interface via a raft of air bubbles; feeds on Vellela and siphonophores and grasps them with its teeth (Ref. 2376).

Members of the order Neotaenioglossa are mostly gonochoric and broadcast spawners. Life cycle: Embryos develop into planktonic trocophore larvae and later into juvenile veligers before becoming fully grown adults.
