Epibenthic (Ref. 87524). It is a mobile, deposit feeder (Ref. 96498), that forages on organisms in the sediment, a predator to swimming organisms and scavenges on crabs and polychaetes (Ref. 96589).
Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer.
