Maximum depth range from Ref. 98612. Maximum length for females from Ref. 80197. Deep-sea benthic species (Ref. 108800). Found from the middle to lower slope at depths up to 1900 m (Ref. 98612). Observed to scavenge on baited jellyfish carcasses of Periphylla periphylla and Cyanea capillata (Ref. 108800). Another isotope data (δ15N=6.93,, n=1, Ref. 106518).

Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer.
