Believed to cause serious envenomations to humans despite having only documented three putative stings (Ref. 117277). Confirmed sightings have been made in shallow, nearshore waters (<10 m). Very little is known about its ecology. Preliminary studies suggest that this species appears to be solitary, fast swimmer, and feeds during the day (Ref. 117277).
