It has lengths of 25 cm, total length; 8 to 12 cm, carapace length (Ref. 4). Occurs in shallow waters, around 10 m; hardly any accurate depths are known; probably on rocky substrate. It is nocturnal (Ref. 4).

Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer.
