Determinate lateral branchlets stipitate, pinnately-alternate arranged, constricted at 1/3 to 1/4 of the distance from the main axis of the filament; ends of branchlets inflated and forming club-shaped or narrow bell-like structures. Thallus (excluding holdfast) up to 11 cm in height; holdfast to about 8 cm in length (Ref. 80758).
