Minimum depth from Ref. 107870. Dredged alive in 30 m near Meyer Island (Ref. 88739). Mostly in rather shallow water (Ref. 107870). Members of the family Xenophoridae feed directly on sediments (Ref. 107881), collecting tiny detritus (Ref. 349) and foraminiferans (Ref. 104247).

Members of the order Neotaenioglossa are mostly gonochoric and broadcast spawners. Life cycle: Embryos develop into planktonic trocophore larvae and later into juvenile veligers before becoming fully grown adults.
