Maximum depth from Ref. 87801. It is found on rocky substrates in the lower intertidal areas to a depth of 150 m; and they feed on yellowish encrusting demosponges (Ref. 87801).

Spawning is observed from January until May and in September. Egg-mass is an orange, 2 mm broad ribbon forming a spiral, and each egg-capsule contains 1 round of white egg.
