It is taken as food, and by the collectors and divers (Ref. 105490). Inhabits low intertidal and high subtidal levels, under Lessonia sp. leaves on exposed rocky shores (Ref. 105995). It encrusts on algae, and on the undersides of large flat rocks at low tide (Ref. 105490). Consumes diatoms (Ref. 106101).

Members of the order Patellogastropoda are mostly gonochoric and broadcast spawners. Life cycle: Embryos develop into planktonic trocophore larvae and later into juvenile veligers before becoming fully grown adults.
