Comments Habitat: artificial ponds serving as water reservoirs constructed between 1869-1901; max depth 3 m, total surface area 200,000 sq. m. Upper littoral zone of ponds with stony bottom, lower littoral zone with smooth soft bottom; upper littoral habitat of vegetation and small invertebrates which comprise main diet of crayfish. Transplantations made to reduce large numbers of tadpoles.
