Life Cycle: Each ball of eggs which male carries represents the entire brood of one female and some males have been observed carrying fourteen balls of eggs (Ref. 12). Coastal (Ref. 19). Feed on hosts: Tubularia larynx, Dynamena pumila, Tubularia sp., Eudendrium sp., Clava sp., Syncoryne sp., Coryne sp. and Bougainvillea sp. (Ref. 223, 224, 215, 205); Syncoryne eximia or Lucernaria sp.; seizes the stems of the hydroid using the apposition of the propodal sole spines and the terminal claws of the legs. Pieces are torn from the hydranth by the chelifores and transferred to the mouth where they are ingested (Ref. 12).
