Found in shallow depths, rubble and shells, epizoic on other ascidians, under stones with good water circulation (Ref. 1134). Occurs in mangrove environments in the Caribbean (Ref. 1757), in mangrove roots (Ref. 121478); found in reef areas (Ref. 1758).
