Found on intertidal rocks and stones (Ref. 130068). Members of the family Fissurellidae live in rocky and stony littoral or sublittoral zone characterized with medium to strong wave action (Ref. 107881). Fissurellinae are reportedly herbivorous, feeding mainly on algae (Ref. 105343).

Members of the order Patellogastropoda are mostly gonochoric and broadcast spawners. Life cycle: Embryos develop into planktonic trocophore larvae and later into juvenile veligers before becoming fully grown adults.
