Description of life cycle and mating behavior Only plurilocular sporocysts have been observed in the wild. Develops from surface cells which after growing into cylindrical filaments, divide once or twice longitudinally and 5 to 7 times transversely. Paraphyses are wanting. Unilocular sporocysts have not been found, thus, a complete life cycle is unknown (Ref. 26875).
