Additional Characters Eggs capsules usually deposited along sheltered rock crevices or within the empty shells of bivalves. Each capsule is shaped like a corn grain, with a plug on the lateral wall. The capsule has no stalk, and is attached to the substratum directly at the base. Within the capsule, ova are enveloped in a colorless intracapsular fluid. Through time, cream eggs develop into grey black veligers.
