Definition of Term

reverberation
(English) Sound scattered towards the source, principally from the ocean surface (surface reverberation) or bottom (bottom reverberation), and from small scattering sources in the medium such as bubbles of air and suspended solid matter (volume reverberation). (See also: acoustics, sonar)
réverbération
(French) Son éparpillé vers sa source, principalement de la surface de l'océan (renvoi de surface) ou fond (renvoi de profondeur), et de sources de petites dispersions dans le milieu tel que bulles d'air et la matière solide en suspension (renvoi de la volume). (See also: acoustics, sonar)
reverberação
