larval development
(English) After hatching, the finfish larval development can be regarded as a sequence of three major phases : yolk-sac stage, larval stage and post-larval stage. Undergoing the metamorphosis, a fish larva turns into the juvenile stage. The larval development varies according to temperature and food availability. (See also: larvae, metamorphosis, larvalbase)
