Definition of Term

genetic diversity
(English) The variety of genes within a particular species, variety, or breed; the sum of information in the genes of an individual organism. (See also: gene, breed, strain)
diversité génétique
(French) Variété des gènes dans une espèce, variété, ou souche particulière ; somme de l'information dans les gènes d'un organisme individuel. (See also: gene, breed, strain)
diversidade genética
(Portuguese) A variedade de genes duma espécie em particular. O somatório da informação genética dum indivíduo. (See also: gene, breed, strain)
