Definition of Term

epurals
(English) In fish larvae, flattened bones along the dorsal side of the urostyle. Those on the ventral side are called hypurals. From these bones the caudal fin rays arise. (See also: urostyle, hypurals, caudal fin)
épuraux
(French) Dans les larves du poisson, os aplatis situés au long du côté dorsal de l'urostyle. Ceux sur la côté ventrale sont dénoté sous le nom d'hypurals. De ces os proviennent les rayons de la nageoire caudale. (See also: urostyle, hypurals, caudal fin)
epurais
