Max. size:  340 cm TL (male/unsexed); max.weight: 400 kg
Environment:  pelagic; marine; depth range 0 - 1989 m, non-migratory
Distribution:  Atlantic Ocean and Indo-Pacific. Tropical to warm temperate zones.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Commonly seen over and near the continental slope. Feeds on deep-water cephalopods, fish and shrimps (Ref. 936).
