Environment:  sessile; marine; depth range 20 - 278 m
Distribution:  Southeast Pacific: Probably endemic to Chile.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  This species is found in exposed areas with rocky substrate at depths of 20 to 278 m. Occasionally it is found on biogenic substrates (Ref. 87801). Solitary (Ref. 2377).
IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated (N.E.) Ref. 123251)
Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  This species is probably endemic to Chile. Known from Puerto Montt to Peninsula Taitao and Golfo de Penas to Strait of Magellan. Its abundance is infrequent (Ref. 87801).
