Distribution:  Indo-Pacific. Introduced in the Mediterranean.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in the littoral and sublittoral zone as well as in deep waters, of 100 m or more (Ref. 77016). Mainly seen on soft bottoms (Ref. 106287).
