Max. size:  9.5 cm SHL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 5 - 50 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: from the Persian Gulf and India to Melanesia; north to southern Japan and south to Queensland.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Locally collected for human consumption (Ref. 348). In fine clean sandy bottoms (Ref. 821). Discretely motile suspension feeder (Ref. 125928).
