Max. size:  13 cm ShH (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 10 - 70 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: from Sri Lanka to Melanesia; north to Japan and south to northern Queensland.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Collected in shrimp trawls (Ref. 349). Found offshore on sandy bottoms (Ref. 799).
IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated (N.E.) Ref. 123251)
Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Known from southern Lantau Island, Po Toi Island and Tolo Entrance (Ref. 121515). Also known from southern waters, around the Cape D'Aguilar area (Ref. 128693). C: Refs. 121515, 128693.
