Distribution:  Southeast Pacific: from Bay of Independencia, Peru south to Golfo de Penas, Chile.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  It is an infaunal species found in tide pools, sandy, clay and gravel substrates from the intertidal areas to a depth of 11 meters (Ref. 87801).

Country info:  Known from Peruvian province towards Puerto Montt to Peninsula Taitao and Golfo de Penas (Ref. 87801). Also known from Bay of Dichato (Ref. 75339). It is highly exploited locally (Ref. 87801). C: Refs. 87801, 90098.
