Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 350 m
Distribution:  Southern Pacific: Gulf of Panama to Valparaiso, Chile; Pacific South America. Subtropical to temperate.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Intertidal to a depth of more than 350 m (Ref. 105706). Found on mud (Ref. 106078). Benthic predator (Ref. 106078). In general, species under the family Cancridae are omnivores, predators, or scavengers (Ref. 3477).
