Distribution:  Cosmopolitan.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Minimum depth from Ref. 87801. Uncommon deep water species (Ref. 2376). In slope (Ref. 116013). Meroplanktonic (Ref. 120471). Lives on other hydroids (Ref. 1663), Obelia dichotoma, Bougainvillia muscus, Synthecium protectum, Parascyphus repens, Plumularia setacea, Halopteris schucherti, Clytia linearis and Lafoea dumosa (Ref. 87801) (Ref. 87801), at depths 10 to 500m (Ref. 1663, 87801). Found from off the south coast in depths of 133-1214m (Ref. 64386).
