Distribution:  Southwest Pacific, Antarctic and sub-Antarctic.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found on hard bottoms, moraine deposits, and attached to the sand and gravel under a canopy of macroalgae at depths of 25 to 30 m; colonial (Ref. 1753). Known from depths of 0 to 1000 m (Ref. 3435).
