Max. size:  11 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; brackish; marine; depth range 0 - 50 m
Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: from USA to Brazil, throughout the Caribbean.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  This an epibenthic, subtidal species found in seagrass (Ref. 83942), particularly Thalassia beds and lagoonal mangrove cays (Ref. 86574).

Country info:  Known from offshore atolls including Turneffe Islands, Lighthouse, Glover's Reef atolls, Belize Barrier Reef in the vicinity of Carrie Bow Cay (Refs. 86570, 856574, 87247), Elbow Cay, Northeast Cay, westernmost of the Bird Cays, Fisherman's Cay, Little Cat Cay, northernmost of the Lagoon Cays, Tarpum Cay (Ref. 86570) and Water Cay Range on Thalassia beds (Ref. 86574).
