Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic and Western Indian Ocean: USA, Belize, Iran and Saudi Arabia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs on reef crest with coral rubble and rock at intertidal depths (Ref. 87157). In Belize, it was found in a submarine cave near Columbus Cay (Ref. 87209).
