Family:  Ranellidae (triton shells), subfamily: Cymatiinae
Max. size:  3 cm DL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 20 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific and Western Atlantic.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Known from immediate subtidal to 20 m, on rock (Ref. 337). Also found in offshore coral reefs (Ref. 83934). Dead shells frequent on the beaches (Ref. 88739).
