Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 8 - 54 m
Distribution:  Pacific Ocean.
Diagnosis:  Color of living colonies varies from dark green, dark brown, to black.
Biology:  Maximum depth range based on occurrence in Timor Leste (Ref. 120542). Can be found in shallow waters (Ref. 122680). Found in caves and under rock overhangs (Ref. 88997). Observed to be grazed by a nudibranch Aeolidiella sp. (Ref. 120542).
