Distribution:  Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Depth based on occurrence (Ref. 2851, p. 719); to be replaced with better reference. Maximum depth from Ref. 2789. Found in soft bottom areas (Ref. 2789) and sandbanks; in clean, fine to medium-grained sand (Ref. 96352); at a depth range of 11 to 28 (Refs. 2789, 96352). A microvore that feeds on organic detritus (Ref. 96352).
