Family:  Vermetidae (worm shells)
Max. size:  5 cm SHL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: most common in the central part of the area. Distribution imperfectly known.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occasionally collected by native populations in the tropical Pacific (Ref. 349). Common on rocky substrates. Shallow subtidal zones. Mucous-feeding species (Ref. 349).
