Distribution:  Indo-Pacific, Western Central Atlantic and the Mediterranean Sea.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Intertidal to subtidal, in fine, medium and coarse sand in temporary vertical tubes made up of sand and mucus. Digs occasionally to a depth of 40 cm (Ref. 107237). Discretely motile tentaculate suspension and surface deposit feeder (Ref. 125928).
