Distribution:  Indo-Pacific, Western Central Atlantic, and the Mediterranean.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Lower intertidal to subtidal in bays and sounds, ranging into brackish water (Ref. 108006). Inhabits muddy bottoms (Ref. 2780). Members of the family Dorvilleidae are mainly carnivorous, feeding on small invertebrates, but smaller worms may feed on green algae (Ref. 107862).
