Distribution:  Northeast Atlantic and the Mediterranean.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits muddy, sandy and rocky bottoms (Ref. 125090) from the tidal zone sublittorally (Ref. 123490). Inhabits muddy, sandy and rocky bottoms (Ref. 125090) from the sublittoral tidal zone to about 15 m (Ref. 123490), associated with Zestora marina bed (Refs. 123490, 96509, 125108). Epifauna on vegetated substrates (Cymodocea nodosa), feeding on microalgae in different seasons (Ref. 124743). Collected on silled lagoons with peat, granite rocks and coarse sand and gravel with dense beds of Ruppia and Zostera spp. (Ref. 125089).
