Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 2 - 228 m
Distribution:  Western Atlantic: from Florida to Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Maximum depth from Ref. 97531. Marine environment. Subtropical and tropical climates (Ref. 8). Oceanic, demersal (Ref. 121697). Also found along the coast (Ref. 121699), in the continental shelf (Ref. 121698), occurring at depths of 2 to 99 m on bottom mud and sand (Ref. 8).
