Distribution:  Subantarctic.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Maximum depth from Ref. 106464. Very common along shallow rocky areas. Hides among rocks during the day and forages over the surface of rocks at night (Ref. 106464). Common benthic grazer in shallow subtidal habitats. Diet is largely unknown, but was observed to actively graze on ascidian recruits in a laboratory setting or prevent recruitment of bryozoans in cages (Ref. 105187).
