Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 100 - 800 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific, Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Maximum depth from Ref. 106831. Outer shelf-upper bathyal species (Ref. 106069). Found on hard bottom (Ref. 106069) and exposed sandy beach (Ref. 84279). Ranellinae are generalist predators, feeding on echinoderms, ascidians and polychaetes (Ref. 87385)
