Distribution:  Indo-Pacific and Western Central Atlantic.
Diagnosis:  Culmen: 4.12 cm; tarsus: 5.022 cm; wing: 28.72 cm.
Biology:  Wingspan: 97 cm (Ref. 8812). Exhibits surface seizing and dipping. Breeds in New Zealand, winters in the sub-tropical Pacific (Ref. 356). Yolk formation occurs at sea with gradual increase over a long period with broad peak rate of deposition (Ref. 87784).
