Distribution:  Indo-Pacific.
Diagnosis:  Colonies are massive with highly meandering valleys with steep walls and corallites that are distributed independently of the valleys. Primary septa are petaloid and exsert, giving the colony surface a rough appearance.
Biology:  Can be found in shallow waters (Ref. 122680). Usually found in reef habitats exposed to strong wave action (Ref. 98471).
