Distribution:  Eastern Pacific, Northeast Atlantic, Mediterranean Sea and Western Indian Ocean.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  This is an epibenthic species (Ref. 95730). Feeds on copepods, larvae of lamellibranchs, detritus and phytoplankton (Ref. 95866). It's a surface deposit feeder (Refs. 96214, 96459).
