Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 40 m
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific and Western Central Atlantic.
Diagnosis:  Colonies form hemispherical mounds of branches or openly branched with short, irregular branches that are swollen at the tips. Usually green or mustard in color.
Biology:  Found in shallow rocky foreshores (Ref. 847).
