Distribution:  Pacific Ocean.
Diagnosis:  Colonies appear as irregular mounds or openly branched. Has tall and upright, almost cylindrical branches that are flattened at tips. Usually brown in color.
Biology:  Found in shallow rocky foreshores (Ref. 847).
