Environment:  pelagic; marine; depth range 0 - 170 m
Distribution:  Cosmopolitan in temperate to polar waters.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  It is a non-selective carnivore (Ref. 3593). This species display diel vertical migrations and are concentrated in the upper water at night (Ref. 96408).
