Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 2 - 174 m
Distribution:  Southwest Atlantic: from Brazil to Argentina. Subtropical to temperate.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Minimum depth from Ref. 8. Maximum carapace length: 3.75 cm (male); 5.8 cm (female). Salinity: 33.27 to 33.94 per mille Cl (Ref. 8). Occurs at depths of 2-10 m, common at depths of 5-25 m. Bottom mud, or mud and sand. Temperature: 9° to 25°C. Salinity: 33.27 to 33.94% Cl. Neritic province. Tropical to temperate climates (Ref. 8).
