Environment:  pelagic; marine; depth range 0 - 1600 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific, Atlantic Ocean, and the Mediterranean.
Diagnosis:  Up to 6.5 cm wide; nematocyst warts on exumbrella very variable in size and number. Color very variable.
